James Baird
Have you ever wanted to study the great texts of philosophy? Now's your chance!
On Saturdays at 1pm-2:30pm EST, we gather in a small group to discuss an important essay from the history of ideas.
In our first discussion, we'll unpack six of the most important pages ever written in history: Plato's Allegory of the Cave.
The discussion is led by me, James Baird, and includes a mini-presentation, summarizing the context and main ideas.
I've studied philosophy for the past ten years, and want to share with others the joy of discovering wisdom from the past.
Experience matters more than credentials, but it still might be good to know my academic background:
- BA in philosophy, Covenant College (summa cum laude)
- MA in theology, Westminster Theological Seminary
- ThM in intellectual history, The Open University (first-class honours)
- PhD candidate at Union School of Theology (2017-2021)
- MBA from Quantic School of Business and Technology
You'll get a live, 1.5 hour class on the classics of ancient philosophy.
